Copy Item Feature

Overview

The 'Save As.../Copy Item' feature in the 'Item Maintenance' screen allows users to create a new item by duplicating an existing one. This feature helps streamline the creation of new items by reusing relevant data, reducing the need for manual entry, and ensuring consistency across similar items.

Copied Data

When using the 'Save As.../Copy Item' feature, the following data is copied to the new item:

• Item
• Item Bracket
• Item Custom Fields
• Kit
• Kit Detail
• Stock Item
• Vendor Item
• Vendor Item Bracket

Procedure

1. Navigate to the 'Item Maintenance' screen.
2. Open the item you wish to copy.
3. Click on the 'Save As...' button.
4. A new view will be presented where you must input the new Item Number.
5. Specify which of the following data sets should be copied:
   • Copy stocking
   • Copy Vendors
   • Copy Kit
   • Copy Custom Fields
6. Complete the process by confirming the details.
